Our Roots

The genesis of Steve Originals dates back to the 1980s when Steven’s grandfather crafted a revolutionary tool named 'James' for his great-grandmother. This innovation empowered her to independently manage her support stockings, enabling her to live autonomously. 'James' became an integral part of her daily routine for years.

A Personal Journey

In 2004, following a serious car incident resulting in severe leg injuries, Steven found himself compelled to wear compression stockings. Confronted with the challenge of donning and doffing these tight garments independently, he recognized the universal need for an efficient tool. Post-recovery, he committed to enhancing 'James,' leading to the establishment of WestCare. By the end of 2006, the Dutch market witnessed the introduction of 'Steve,' a tool that revolutionized the experience of putting on and removing support stockings with utmost simplicity and independence.

Evolution of Steve

In 2009, Steve underwent slight modifications, giving rise to 'Steve 2,' which successfully expanded its reach to various countries. Building on the invaluable user experiences, the next evolutionary leap took shape in the form of 'Steve+.' Boasting several enhancements, Steve+ has recently been rebranded as 'Steve Complete', representing the culmination of decades of development.
